Biography: Morgan is considered one of the greatest second basemen in Major League Baseball history.

He played for 6 clubs most notably the Houston Astros and Cincinnati Reds with whom he won two World Series in 1975 and 1976, claiming the National League MVP award in both those years. He was also a 10-time MLB All Star and 5-time Gold Glove winner.

Morgan became an excellent baseball broadcaster after retiring from the playing field. He worked for the Reds, Giants, ABC, ESPN, and in the mid-to-late '90s he teamed with Bob Costas and Bob Uecker on NBC’s post-season telecasts.

Morgan was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990.
