Biography: Peter Bogdanovich is an American film director, writer, actor, producer, critic and historian. Bogdanovich has directed or produced over 70 motion pictures.

He began his career as a critic, writing for such magazines as Film Culture and Sight and Sound. He was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for Creative Arts in Film in 1966.

His first film, Targets, was released in 1968 to critical acclaim. His next film, The Last Picture Show, earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Director. He has since directed such films as Paper Moon, What's Up, Doc?, and Mask.

Bogdanovich has also acted in numerous films and television shows, including The Sopranos, The Godfather Part III, and Mulholland Drive.
