Biography: Poonam Pandey is an Indian model and actress renowned for her roles in Bollywood and for stirring up controversy with her provocative persona. Her career was marked by bold choices and a series of public stunts.

Born on March 11, 1991, in Kanpur, India, Pandey began her career in the modeling industry in 2010. She quickly rose to prominence, becoming a prominent contestant in the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest and appearing on the cover of a fashion magazine.

Pandey's rise to fame escalated when she made a controversial pledge to strip if India won the 2011 Cricket World Cup. India indeed secured victory, but she did not keep her promise due to widespread disapproval and the alleged refusal of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

She nevertheless continued to court controversy by posing nude following the Kolkata Knight Riders' victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2012 and releasing a mobile application that was promptly banned by Google due to its explicit content.

In November 2020, Pandey found herself under legal scrutiny after filming an explicit video on government property in Goa, leading to her arrest. Subsequently, in January 2022, she was embroiled in allegations concerning a porn film racketing scandal, but the Supreme Court of India granted her interim protection from arrest.

In a controversial twist in February 2024, Pandey's manager announced her supposed death from cervical cancer through her social media channels. This claim was ultimately exposed as a deceitful campaign aimed at raising awareness for the disease.
