Biography: Catherine O'Hara is a Canadian-American actress, best known for her comedy work. She started off starring on Second City Television (1976-1984) and then went on to major roles in Beetlejuice (1988) and the first two Home Alone films (1990 and 1992) playing the mother of Macaulay Culkin's character.

Ohara is also known for her appearance in the mockumentary style films of Christopher Guest, including "Best in Show" (2000) and "A Mighty Wind" (2003).

Eugene Levy, a frequent collaborator of Guest's, handpicked O'Hara to star alongside him and his son Dan Levy in their sitcom "Schitt's Creek" (2015-20). O'Hara won widespread critical acclaim for her portrayal of the eccentric Moira Rose and numerous awards including an Emmy and a Golden Globe and six Canadian Screen Awards.
