Biography: Roger Turner was an American figure skater who won the U.S. National Championships seven times in a row from 1928 to 1934, a record that was later tied by Dick Button. Turner also won two silver medals at the World Championships in 1930 and 1931.

Turner competed at the Winter Olympics twice. At his first Olympics, in 1928, he finished tenth in the singles event. Four years later, he placed sixth in the singles competition at the 1932 Lake Placid Olympics.

Throughout his career, Turner was a member of the Skating Club of Boston. Turner died in 1993 and, in 1994, was inducted posthumously into the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame.
