Biography: Shannen Doherty is a TV and film actress known for her roles as Brenda Walsh in "Beverly Hills, 90210", and as Prue Halliwell in "Charmed".
Doherty was a child actress appearing aged 10 in "Father Murphy" and "Little House on the Prairie". Her first significant film role was in the black comedy "Heathers" (1988) with Winona Ryder before she was cast in the hugely popular "Beverly Hills 90210" in 1990 opposite Jason Priestley for four years. In 1998 she was one of the original cast of the witches TV drama "Charmed".
Doherty's off-set antics have gathered at times almost as much attention as her acting. She left both "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Charmed" under cloud and her lifestyle was frequently depicted in tabloid stories.
From 2015 she has been battling breast cancer, announcing her remission in 2017.
