Profession: Actress
Biography: The actress achieved early fame in her teens starring Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice" (1988) and the cult comedy "Heathers" and became known for her choice of off-beat roles.
Ryder became one of the most high-profile young actresses of the 1990s through her increasingly prominent film roles and her relationship with fellow actor Johnny Depp. Her work directors includes Francis Ford Coppola's "Bram Stoker's Dracula" (1992), Martin Scorsese's "The Age of Innocence" (1993), for which she won a Golden Globe, and in Gilliam Armstrong's re-telling of "Little Women" (1994).
In 2001 Ryde took a four-year break from filmmaking, partly due to widely publicised arrest for shoplifting. She then made a successful return to acting, most notably starring in the Netflix series "Stranger Things" from 2016.
