Biography: Tiny Tim was an American singer and ukulele player who came to fame in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely due to his hit single "Tiptoe Through the Tulips," a cover of a song originally released in the 1920s. The song, featured on his 1968 debut album, God Bless Tiny Tim, became a pop culture phenomenon, quickly climbing the charts.

He subsequently appeared on numerous TV shows, including Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, where he famously married his first wife, Miss Vicki, live on air. The event was watched by an estimated 40 million people.

While most remember him for his hit single and television appearances, Tiny Tim was an avid student of American popular music, particularly the early 20th-century tunes he frequently covered. His discography is extensive, though most of his later work didn't achieve the commercial success of his early hits.

He continued to perform throughout the '80s and '90s, although health issues began to take their toll. In 1996 suffered a heart attack at a ukulele festival and then another heart attack on stage not long after, passing away shortly after the second.
