Srebrenica Massacre

1995-07-11 More than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys are massacred by Bosnian Serbs after they overrun the UN 'safe haven' of Srebrenica on directive of Radovan Karadžić

  • 1995-08-05 The city of Knin, a significant Serb stronghold, is captured by Croatian forces during Operation Storm. The date is celebrated as the day of victory (Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day) in Croatia.
