Biography: Andrew Symonds, also known as "Roy," was an Australian cricketer known as an excellent all-rounder but particularly renowned as an aggressive batsman and as a fieldsman. Ricky Ponting considered him the best fielder that he had ever seen, ranking Symonds even above Herschelle Gibbs and Jonty Rhodes.

Symonds' career, however, was marred by disciplinary episodes which kept him off the field. He was ultimately sent home from the 2009 World Twenty20 tournament in England, after which he was dismissed from Cricket Australia.
