Biography: Cathy Moriarty is an American actress whose career has spanned over four decades in both film and television. She made an unforgettable debut at the age of 19, playing the role of Vickie LaMotta in Martin Scorsese's boxing film Raging Bull (1980), a performance that earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

After her breakthrough role, Moriarty worked steadily in film and television, demonstrating her range with a variety of roles in different genres. She played the femme fatale in neo-noir films like White of the Eye (1987), showcased her comedic timing in Soapdish (1991) with Sally Field and Kevin Kline, and demonstrated her ability to play a convincing villain in Casper (1995).

Moriarty's television work has been equally diverse. She had recurring roles in popular series such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Tales from the Crypt, and has lent her distinctive voice to animated series like Rugrats.

Despite a serious car accident in 1992 that nearly ended her career, Moriarty has continued to work consistently in Hollywood.
