Biography: Rashid Khan is an Afghan cricketer who has set numerous records, including fastest bowler to reach 50 T20I wickets and youngest to captain a Test team.

Rashid pursued cricket seriously, along with his brothers, after they were inspired by famous cricketers like Shahid Afridi and AB de Villiers. Having demonstrated his talents early on, he was inducted into the Afghan national team and made his ODI and T20I debut against Zimbabwe in October 2015.

In Test cricket, Rashid played a pivotal role in Afghanistan's debut match in June 2018. By September 2019, he became the youngest Test captain in a match against Bangladesh. His leadership skills were further acknowledged when he was appointed captain of Afghanistan's national team after the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Rashid's has also had a significant impact in T20 cricket, where he has played in franchise leagues including the Indian Premier League (IPL), Australian Big Bash League (BBL), and Caribbean Premier League (CPL). His IPL tenure with Sunrisers Hyderabad started in 2017, and he achieved a hat-trick in the 2023 IPL.

Rashid holds many records, such as taking the first hat-trick in CPL history and registering one of the best bowling figures in BBL. He was also named ICC Men's T20I Player of the Decade in December 2020.
