Biography: Shaggy served in the US Marine Corp during the Persian Gulf War before launching his singing career. He took his stage name from the character in the TV show "Scooby-Doo".

Shaggy released his debut album "Pure Pleasure" in 1993 and had hits with singles "Boombastic", "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel". His third studio album Bombastic won the Grammy for Best Reggae Album in 1996, and he repeated this in 2019 with "44/876".
