Biography: The actor and filmmaker has a long and acclaimed career in film, on TV and the stage. He is the winner of five Emmys, and has been nominated for an Academy Award, a Tony and a Grammy throughout his career.

Tucci's early career involved supporting roles in such prestigious films as "The Pelican Brief" (1993), "Billy Bathgate (1991) opposite Dustin Hoffman and Sam Mendes' "Road to Perdition" (2002).

In 1996 he made his directorial debut in the independent comedy film "Big Night" along with Campbell Scott, set in a restaurant, a film he also wrote and starred in.

Tucci continued to attract roles in high profile films, appearing opposite Meryl Streep in both "The Devil Wears Prada" (2006) and "Julie and Julia", about the life and cookbooks of Julia Child. Starring roles in Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones" and the Hunger Games film franchise followed. In 2015 he appeared in "Spotlight" winner of Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

During the COVID-19 pandemic Tucci social media appearances calling about cocktails and food led to the development of "Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy", a food and culture TV show that followed the actor around Italy, winning Emmys for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series.
