Biography:Michael Dukakis is an American politician who served as Governor of Massachusetts first from 1975 to 1979 and then from 1983 to 1991. This makes him the longest serving governor in Massachusetts history.
While Dukakis was nominated for the 1988 presidential elections by the Democratic Party, he ended up losing to George H. W. Bush. He is known within Massachusetts for overseeing a period of economic growth since called the 'Massachusetts Miracle.'
