Biography: 29th President of the United States. Only in office for two years until his death, Harding is often ranked among the worst presidents.

Following his death in 1923 several scandals came to light, primarily the controversy over the Teapot Dome oil reserves and revelations about his extra-marital affairs.

He appointed several well-known figures to his cabinet, and in 1922 the major powers agreed on naval limitations at the Washington Conference, a significant post-war achievement.
