Biography: Demi Lovato was a child actor starting out in the children's show "Barney & Friends" alongside Selena Gomez. In 2007 Lovato starting working for the Disney Channel and starred in the popular "Camp Rock" films with the Jonas Brothers. She also recorded songs for the movie soundtrack.
In 2009 Lovato was given her own show on the Disney Channel "Sonny with a Chance" which ran until 2011.
Lovato released her debut album "Don't Forget" in 2008 and her second "Here We Go Again" in 2009 and continues to record and perform. She is also famous for her collaborations with Luis Fonsi on "Échame la Culpa" and with Clean Bandit on "Solo".
Lovato has been praised for speaking out about her personal battles with her bipolar condition, self harm and substance abuse. In 2018 she was hospitalized after an overdose.
