Biography: Phil Collins began his career as the drummer and occasional singer for the progressive rock band Genesis alongside Mike Rutherfield and Peter Gabriel.
He went on to forge his own hugely successful solo career with such singles as "In the Air Tonight", "One More Night" and "Another Day in Paradise".
Collins has also achieved a considerable acting career, he was a child actor on stage on London and as an adult acted on TV and in film, including starring in "Buster" (1988) opposite Julie Walters.
